Syncing with macOS
This guide explains how to configure the native macOS Calendar and Contacts apps to sync with Davnode.Server Settings
Please have your Davnode email and password ready. You will need the following server details:| Service | Server | Port | Encryption |

We recommend to always use an app password for connecting calendars and
contacts.
1. Add Calendar Account
To sync your Davnode calendars with the macOS Calendar app:- Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS versions).
- Click on Internet Accounts.
- Click the Add Account button.
- Select Add Other Account… (usually at the bottom of the list).
- Choose CalDAV Account.
- Set the “Account Type” to Manual.
- Enter the following details:
- User Name: Your full Davnode email address.
- Password: Your Davnode password.
- Server Address:
mail.davnode.com
- Click Sign In.
- Ensure the Calendars checkbox is selected (and Reminders if desired).
- Click Done.
2. Add Contacts Account
To sync your Davnode address book with the macOS Contacts app:- Return to System Settings > Internet Accounts.
- Click Add Account > Add Other Account…
- Choose CardDAV Account.
- Set the “Account Type” to Manual.
- Enter the following details:
- User Name: Your full Davnode email address.
- Password: Your Davnode password.
- Server Address:
mail.davnode.com
- Click Sign In.
- Ensure the Contacts checkbox is selected.
- Click Done.
Troubleshooting
”Unable to Verify Account Name or Password”
If macOS cannot connect immediately:- Ensure the Account Type is set to Manual, not Automatic.
- If prompted for specific paths or advanced server settings:

Calendars Not Updating
If the account is added but events are missing:- Open the Calendar app.
- Press
Cmd + Rto force a refresh. - In the menu bar, go to View > Refresh Calendars.
